A Feast of Gluten Free Desserts

There are plenty restaurants in my local area that serve gluten free food, but one thing I often find is that the choice of dessert is limited to fruit salad or ice cream. For this reason, when I am in a restaurant that offers a good selection of desserts I will jump at the chance to have one!
I have also started creating some gluten free desserts from home. One of my favourite desserts is my gluten free cheesecake recipe. This is pretty similar to a regular cheesecake, but you just use a gluten free biscuit base. I’ve also mastered some other sweet treats including chocolate mousse, creme brulee, chocolate and almond cake, meringues and a lemon drizzle cake. Ground almonds make a great substitute for flour in a cake and polenta flour is another option that you may not have considered. Use your imagination and you’ll find that there are plenty things that you can make to satisfly a gluten free sweet tooth!
